Jungtea for ChatGPT and Claude

Jungtea checks the websites and brands an assistant is about to recommend against Jungtea's index of money ties: who pays whom around a recommendation. It is the same index, and the same answer, that the Jungtea Results browser extension puts beside search results.

What it answers

• check_sites takes website addresses and answers, for each one, its level on the money ladder, the reason in plain words, the source pages with dates, and "Is this wrong?". The websites of one call are judged together, so a shared owner among them is pointed out.
• check_brands takes brand or company names, matched exactly as the index records them, and answers with the websites on record for that company, whether it sells its own products, and any site it is recorded paying for a spot on.
• describe_levels explains the marks.

The levels, worst first

• 6 Owned by the maker: you're reading the seller's own review.
• 5 Brand paid for a spot: a spot like this is paid for, not earned. (About one page; without a page to check, paid spots on a site are listed as a note.)
• 4 Sells what it recommends: its "best" is its own stock.
• 3 Paid when you buy · same owner as other sites checked here: fewer separate voices than it looks.
• 2 Paid when you buy: it recommends what it is paid to sell.
• 1 No money ties found: only after a completed check of the site's own pages, with the date.
• Not checked yet (grey): Jungtea has not checked this site. That says nothing either way.
• Same owner as other sites checked here (amber, no level): one company is behind several of the sites checked together.

How to connect

• ChatGPT: install Jungtea from the plugin directory, or add https://mcp.jungtea.com/mcp as a custom MCP server (no sign-in).
• Claude: add Jungtea from the Connectors directory, or under Customize > Connectors add a custom connector with the URL https://mcp.jungtea.com/mcp (no sign-in).

What is sent and kept

The server receives the website addresses and names it is asked about, nothing else: no conversation, no account, no cookies. Its log keeps counts only. Read the privacy policy and the terms of use.

Corrections

Every answer carries "Is this wrong?", an email address with the website in the subject. Index copy in use: 2026-10-30.
